Ford has even developed its own app to use with your new Ford car, truck, or SUV. FordPass is available now with your new Ford from Crain Ford of Jacksonville.
Once you purchase your new Ford, you’ll gain access to FordPass. Simply download the app for your smartphone, and you’re off and running. Let’s take a look at all FordPass can do to help you stay connected in control of your Ford. When you communicate with your Ford through the FordPass app, you’ll be amazed at all it can do for you.
You can use the FordPass app to start and stop your vehicle. Just think about how great that would be. Imagine the coldest day in the winter, and you don’t want to go outside to start your car. Or it’s 100 plus in July, and you don’t want to sweat to death. Simply pull out your FordPass app that’s connected to your Ford. Remote start it, and it’s off and running to either heat and defrost or cool off your Ford.
Connect your Ford with these simple steps:
- Make sure your vehicle is turned off, then select Add to add your vehicle.
- Scan or type in your VIN.
- Name your vehicle.
- Select Activate Vehicle.
- Start your vehicle and select Allow on the in-vehicle pop-up.
Once your vehicle is connected, then you’ll have access to all FordPass has to offer. Besides locking and unlocking your vehicle from the FordPass home screen, you can also check your vehicle’s health. Monitor oil life, fuel level, mileage, and maintenance all from the Vehicle tab.
As long as your Ford has FordPass Connect, you’ll receive complimentary remote features. If your Ford is 2021 and newer, then yours is equipped with FordPass Connect. You’ll get a Digital Glove Box that houses important information like your owner’s manual and warranty information.
As part of the maintenance reporting, it will provide you with Vehicle Health Alerts so you can stay up-to-date on what’s going on with your Ford. You can even set it up to send alerts so you never miss an update. Maintain your service records and even schedule service appointments through the app.
If you’re driving an EV, you can have FordPass tell you how far you can drive before needing a charge. Intelligent Range will monitor your battery level in the app. You can also activate your phone as a key. Instead of carrying your key fob around, simply pull out your smartphone and unlock your Ford.
